Progress of the project of the new railway line Messina-Catania.

We are pleased to report on the progress of the project that includes the design and enforcement of the works for the construction of a new railway line of approximately 28,3 km in length. This ambitious project includes civil works, superstructure, electrification, signalling and telecommunications, as well as the construction of 2 tunnels natural monotube, 6 tunnels are double rooms and 7 viaducts.

Currently, we are working on the stretch Messina-Catania, which is connected with the existing line before the station Fiumefreddo and re-link to the station of Giampilieri. Among the main works, highlights the Tunnel Sciglio, with more than 9 km in length, extends also on the lot adjacent to Taormina-Fiumefreddo, thereby becoming the longest tunnel of the entire stretch Giampilieri-Fiumefreddo.
